Google’s new Flight Search

Google took a step further into the travel industry last week with the launch of Flight Search, a web-based tool that lets you find and book flights.

The service is currently only available for flights between US destinations. Google will collect an affiliate fee from travel websites when people click through from the search engine’s service to book flights.

 

Facebook launches Subscribe button

Facebook has launched a Subscribe button that lets you follow the public updates of others, regardless of whether you’re Facebook friends. The button gives you a way to follow the content others are posting without actually becoming Facebook friends with them.

 

Google+ allows developers to access API

Google+ has launched an API  allowing developers to write third-party apps. This move is said to be very much needed after an independent study suggested that the number of posts to the service has fallen by over 40% in the past two months.
