Charity Media Matching

The I Spy team welcomed a host of charities to its offices last week, as part of a media-matching programme offering charities and community organisations the benefit of its digital expertise.

The initiative, run by the Media Trust, works in a similar way to speed dating. After drinks and canapés, representatives from ten voluntary organisations each took their turn to talk search and social media with ten I Spy volunteers.

Those present included president Chris Whitelaw, group account director Alistair Cansdale, account manager Andreas Antypas (I Spy), Christine John from Vine Trust, Nadia Syed from Cultural Co-operation and Sean Mendez from Solidarity Sports.

Anna Pangbourne, Textile Industry Children's Trust and Chris Whitelaw, I Spy.

The organisations explained what kind of assistance they needed, while the team offered up some on the spot advice and ideas. Armed with a scorecard, both parties indicated whether they would be interested in working together, before the Media Trust team started matchmaking….

Although the plan was to match one person with one charity, both sets of scorecards had more ticks than crosses by the end of the evening, so there’s sure to be more than a few perfect matches.
